SUMMARY/SCOPE: The graduate Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) and undergraduate
Communication Sciences & Disorders (CSD) programs invite qualified individuals to apply for the Adjunct instructor pool. The adjunct teachingpositions are for Fall 2026 and Spring 2027. Courses vary from semester tosemester depending on departmental teaching needs.
Forqualified instructors there is an option for online teaching.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES/BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Courses will depend on the Adjunct's specific skills andareas of expertise. Both adult and pediatric SLP/CSD courses are available.
QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
Qualified candidates preferably have a doctorate (Ph.D. orEd.D.) in speech-language pathology or related field to teach in the graduate
SLP program. A master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a clinicaldoctorate degree in Audiology are acceptable for the undergraduate program.
Previous teaching and clinical experience preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:
Licensed to Practice Speech-Language Pathology or Audiologyin the United States.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The job is sedentary in nature. Must be able to sit or standfor long periods of time while performing office and computer operations.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
This position is a part-time/temporary adjunct position (nomore than 29 hours per week) with teaching either face to face on the Hardin-Simmons Campus OR synchronous (preferred)/ asynchronous online.
Must be a resident of the state of Texas.
