Position Overview Greenville ISD is seeking dedicated and student-focused Teachers to provide high-quality instruction that promotes academic achievement and student growth. Teachers create positive learning environments, implement district curriculum, and support the academic, social, and emotional development of all students.

Primary Purpose Plan and deliver effective instruction aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) while ensuring compliance with Texas Education Agency (TEA) requirements and district policies.

Qualifications

Education / Certification:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university

Valid Texas teaching certificate with appropriate grade-level and/or content endorsement

Must meet all TEA certification and assignment requirements

Special Knowledge / Skills

Knowledge of TEKS and effective instructional strategies

Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs

Strong classroom management skills

Ability to use assessment data to guide instruction

Effective communication and collaboration skills

Experience:

Prior teaching experience preferred New graduates with appropriate certification are encouraged to apply

Major Responsibilities and Duties

Instruction & Curriculum

Develop and implement lesson plans aligned with district curriculum and TEKS

Deliver engaging instruction that supports student mastery of grade-level standards

Use formative and summative assessments to monitor student progress

Adjust instructional strategies based on data and student needs

Classroom Environment & Student Support

Establish and maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment

Promote student engagement and accountability

Support students' academic, behavioral, and social-emotional development

Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress

Professional Responsibilities

Participate in professional development, PLCs, and faculty meetings

Collaborate with colleagues and campus leadership

Maintain accurate records in compliance with district and TEA requirements

Perform other duties as assigned by campus administration

Working Conditions

Physical Demands:
Frequent standing, walking, and use of instructional technology

Mental Demands:
Ability to manage multiple responsibilities and maintain emotional control
