Abilene Christian University Faculty Position
The Department of Agriculture and Environmental Science at Abilene Christian University invites applications for a full-time faculty position. This role is designed for an individual committed to excellence in teaching, student mentorship, and scholarly engagement within a Christ-centered academic community.
Qualifications:- Ph.D. in Agriculture, Biology, Wildlife Science, Range Ecology, or a closely related field (required)
- Ability to teach undergraduate courses in agriculture and/or environmental science Immediate needs for subject matter expertise to teach courses in:
- Rangeland Ecology
- Range Science
- Wildlife Ecology
- Wildlife Management Techniques
- Energy Resources
- Soil Science
- Commitment to integrating faith and learning in alignment with the mission of Abilene Christian University
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a collegial, student-centered approach
- Teach undergraduate courses in agriculture and environmental science
- Engage in scholarly activity appropriate to the discipline
- Advise and mentor students academically and professionally
- Actively support and guide student research projects
- Assist students in securing internships and career development opportunities
- Participate in departmental, college, and university service
- Uphold and support the Christian mission and values of Abilene Christian University
- Foster a collaborative and engaging learning environment
- Contribute to program development and growth within the department
- Teaching experience at the college or university level
- Experience working with undergraduate research and experiential learning opportunities
- Professional or applied experience in agriculture or environmental science fields
