Overview
ACU is affiliated with the fellowship of the Churches of Christ. This position requires the employee to be a professing Christian and to be willing to support the Christian mission of ACU. Accounting – Open Rank Tenure Track faculty position, with a start date of Fall 2027. Rank depends on experience and qualifications. This position will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Accounting for students in a residential program, with some online options.
Faculty members are expected to maintain Scholarly Academic (SA) status through a program of intellectual contributions in the form of peer-reviewed academic publications and presentations and other forms of professional development consistent with the school’s maintenance of AACSB Accreditation. Faculty will also mentor students and accept departmental, college, and university service assignments.
- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Accounting for students in a residential program, with some online options.
- Maintain Scholarly Academic (SA) status through intellectual contributions such as peer-reviewed publications and presentations.
- Mentor students.
- Accept departmental, college, and university service assignments.
- Earned doctorate or terminal degree in accounting (ABD status also considered).
- Expertise in one or more accounting-related service areas (e.g., audit, financial, cost, accounting information systems, analytics, controllership).
- Strong record of relevant research and/or professional experience, combined with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Proven college/university teaching experience, or strong promise in teaching.
