Key Qualifications &
Experience:
- Valid certification as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience supporting PreK-aged children, preferably in a school setting
- Familiarity with a variety of communication strategies, such as sign language and assistive technology
- Strong ability to adapt materials and teaching methods to suit diverse learning needs
- Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships with students, families, and staff
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and group instruction to PreK students who are deaf or hard of hearing
- Assess student needs and monitor progress toward developmental goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to ensure the successful inclusion of all students
- Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Maintain open communication with families, offering support and resources as needed
- Participate in school meetings and professional development activities
