Job description
Seeking strong Lead Blade Repair Technicians with extensive category 4 & 5 repair experience.
Location: Throughout USA (and potentially Canada) | 100% travel on a rotational basis.
Position Type: Full-Time Employee or Contractor.
Job Responsibilities:We are looking for reliable technicians with the following skills and training:
- 5+ years of high-quality composite repair experience on all types of blade repairs.
- Experience with safely using and setting up 360-degree and 2M basket platforms.
- Certification with IRATA or SPRAT rope access is a plus.
- Knowledge of epoxy and polyester resins, wet lay-up, and vacuum bag techniques.
- Experience handling balsa and foam core materials.
- Understanding fiberglass reinforcement and structural repair.
- Ability to safely operate powered hand tools.
- Knowledge of repair specifications considering wind speeds, temperature, and humidity restrictions.
- Ability to read complex technical drawings and processes.
- IT literacy (email, internet, iPad).
- Willingness to travel extensively and spend time away from home.
- Flexibility to adapt to scope changes.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and take guidance.
- Valid driver's license with a good MVR report.
- Must be 21+ to drive a company vehicle.
- Valid passport is a plus.
- Physical capability to climb ladders (up to 300 feet/90 meters), bend, crawl, stoop, and lift up to 75 pounds.
- US/Canadian citizens or those legally eligible to work in either country.
- Satisfactory criminal background check and drug-free status.
