Sheakley is seeking an experienced Safety Manager for a fast-paced, five-day industrial project at an active Amazon facility in Abilene, Texas.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified safety professional seeking a short-term assignment with strong hourly compensation, approximately 50 scheduled hours, and seven full days of per diem
.

Hourly Rate: $48-$51 per hour
Per Diem: $150 per day, paid for 7 days
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Shift: 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM

The Safety Manager will oversee preliminary construction and installation activities involving:
Electrical conduit installation
Conveyor belt and conveyor system installation
Lockout/Tagout procedures
Electrical safety practices
Contractor activity within an active operational facility
Because the work will take place in an active Amazon location, the selected professional must be comfortable working around ongoing facility operations, multiple trades, energized systems, equipment movement, and strict site-access requirements.
Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain a strong and visible safety presence throughout the shift
Monitor electrical conduit and conveyor installation activities
Verify compliance with Lockout/Tagout procedures
Review electrical safety practices and potential energy hazards
Conduct jobsite inspections and immediately address unsafe conditions
Review pre-task plans, job hazard analyses, and daily safety documentation
Lead toolbox talks and field safety discussions
Coordinate with project leadership, contractors, and site representatives
Document observations, corrective actions, incidents, and near misses
Help ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with site requirements
Candidates must meet at least one of the following qualification pathways:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, or a related field, plus at least 3 years of relevant safety experience
OR
Current CSP or CHST certification, plus at least 5 years of relevant safety experience
OR
OSHA 510 certification, plus at least 7 years of relevant safety experience
Current First Aid and CPR certification
Strong knowledge of Lockout/Tagout procedures
Familiarity with electrical safety practices
Previous industrial, electrical, conveyor, manufacturing, or distribution facility experience preferred
Must provide a personal laptop or tablet
Must bring at least three Lockout/Tagout tags
Must be able to work the full five-day assignment
Must be available to start August 17, 2026
Earn $48-$51 per hour
Receive $1,050 in total per diem
Approximately 50 hours of scheduled work
Seven days of per diem for a five-day assignment
