Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Wind Technician or Wind Mechanic OR minimum of 2 years of work experience inclusive of hydraulic and electrical experience and use of basic power hydraulic tools
- Passing a Technical Knowledge Assessment
- Basic computer skills
- Valid driver's license that must be maintained
- Ability and willingness to lift repetitive weight of up to 45 lbs unassisted
- Ability and willingness to climb towers of 300+ feet regularly
- Must meet specified manufacturer weight limits, not exceeding 300 lbs including required gear
- Ability to understand electrical schematic drawings, technical manuals, procedures, and regulations
- Ability and willingness to work in industrial, manufacturing, and power industry facilities
- Flexibility to work rotating shift schedules and on-call per site needs
- Ability to work with personnel at all levels inside and outside the wind farm
- Wind turbine experience
- Electrical, mechanical, and/or hydraulic experience
- Experience using hydraulic power tools
- Experience with heavy equipment for facility maintenance and working knowledge of crane and rigging requirements
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of a drug screen, as applicable
Demonstrates expertise in troubleshooting and maintaining electrical and mechanical systems in wind turbine generators, with a strong ability to interpret technical manuals and schematic drawings. Capable of executing site operations efficiently while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
