Data Center Commissioning Project Manager (Lead Mechanical) – TX / Remote
Salary: $135,000 - $165,000 per year
Data Center Commissioning Project Manager position hosted by Tony Barhoum. This role is focused on building engineering, data center commissioning of mechanical systems and facility operations.

We deliver Mission-Critical Infrastructure Solutions for Hyperscale Data Center Projects with clients such as Microsoft, Google, Meta, and AWS. Data Center Commissioning Project Manager (Lead Mechanical) – Full-Time – (Remote/Travel)
Base Salary: $135K to $165K (Total Comp: $160K to $190K)
ResponsibilitiesThe successful candidate must be self-motivated and well-versed in Data Center projects touching on large building MEP systems design, commissioning, retro-commissioning, energy modeling/analysis and construction for complex buildings. Responsibilities include assessment, optimization and/or commissioning activities for utility plants; performing construction observations; reviewing contract documents; developing functional test plans and executing tests for mechanical and controls systems; retro-commissioning engineering/energy studies; contributing to design and energy projects for National industrial, institutional, and commercial clients;
and assisting in managing Data Center projects to meet client expectations for technical excellence, budget, and schedule.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
- Minimum 4 years of Data Center Commissioning experience (Electrical/Mechanical).
- Experience with Project Management – scheduling; coordination with staff & contractors; verifying field quality; accountability; staying calm under pressure.
- Technical mechanical expertise.
- Available to be on-site ~60% to 70%.
- Experience managing staff.
- Experience diagnosing and solving construction and operational problems.
- Experience managing design/energy services commissioning project resources to pre-determined scope, fee, and schedule.
- Knowledge of building codes and standards (ASHRAE, LEED).
- Effective leadership and written/verbal communication skills.
Preferred, Not Required
- PE, CBCP, BCxP, CEM, CCP, CxA are a plus
