DisclosureThis position is for a contract in which the Company is pursuing. The position will be available upon successful contract award. The government has not provided an official start date for this contract, but the current contract expires September. Therefore, we anticipate an expected start date of September 2026.
Position SummaryThis position is on‑site at Dyess Air Force Base near Abilene, TX. The Mechanical Engineering Technician will perform engineering and technician services required to develop, plan, program, and execute Facilities, Sustainment, Restoration and Modernization (FSRM) projects. The role includes administrative services required to perform unscheduled work, sustainment work (preventive maintenance), corrective maintenance, and enhancement work such as minor repair work, building automation or controls, and material requisitioning.
The contractor will provide all services, transportation, and supervision of contractor personnel that support CES Engineering Flight at Dyess AFB.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities- Plan, organize, and lead studies, designs, and construction projects.
- Record and manage processes and documentation.
- Negotiate effectively with management to accept and implement recommendations involving substantial resources and extensive changes in established concepts and procedures.
- Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Negotiate complex issues and maintain good working relationships.
Required
- Minimum 8 years of experience in mechanical engineering equipment support for maintenance, repair, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance plans/programs.
- Extensive knowledge of building code requirements related to HVAC equipment and mechanical engineering, equipment troubleshooting, diagnostics, and evaluation.
- Proficient technical experience with Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Valid driver’s license to utilize a motor vehicle within Dyess AFB.
Preferred
- Vocational or degree post‑high‑school education (associate or bachelor’s) in an engineering related field such as building systems maintenance, construction management, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering.
This position primarily operates in a professional office setting with standard office equipment and a quiet, climate‑controlled environment. The role requires periodic travel to project sites, including locations undergoing renovation or active construction, where the employee may be exposed to non‑temperature‑controlled environments, construction noise, dust, and typical site conditions. Personal protective equipment may be required depending on site conditions. On site visits, work may require atypical hours at the client’s request.
