Full Time Loan Officer - Comm Cypress

Primary role is to grow and retain profitable relationships. This is accomplished by focusing on the delivery of value‑added solutions to our clients and prospects that will help them reach their goals and maximize our revenues over the life of the relationship. You will be a fully experienced, qualified relationship manager capable of independent activity. You should have proven client relationship skills, extensive product knowledge, technical expertise, and strong transaction execution skills.
Credit process management is a critical component of your job. Performance will be measured by your effectiveness in many marketing areas, including but not limited to calling activity, proposal generation, revenue generation, risk mitigation, ability to build successful relationships, and propensity to help build the franchise for the long term. Seek opportunities to cross‑sell into every relationship and anticipate the future needs of the client.
Functions and Basic Duties
- Solicit commercial clients; aggressively seek and obtain quality new business through client and prospect calls, referrals, and cross‑selling efforts.
- Obtain and maintain COI’s and attend various networking events in the assigned geographic area.
- Require skills and experience in loan structuring and credit analysis.
- Generate a wide variety of commercial and real estate loans.
- Close loans typically in the $1 million to $10 million range.
- Contribute to deposit growth by cross‑selling and promoting additional banking products.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Education/Certification: Bachelor’s degree in banking, finance or another related field is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of seven years direct lending or credit support related experience with a focus on business relationships. Formally credit trained and/or underwriting knowledge and experience is preferred.
- Knowledge: Familiarity with sales, loan processing, and closing processes; extensive knowledge of Commercial Banking products and services including working knowledge of C & I as well as Owner‑Occupied and Investment Commercial Real Estate loans.
- Skills/Abilities: Ability to expand loans, client relationships, and cross‑sell bank products; strong interpersonal and communication skills; proven track record of business development.
- Talking: Must convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.
- Average Hearing: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
- Repetitive Motion: Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
- Average Visual Abilities: Average, ordinary visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery.
- Physical Strength: Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions (typical office).
Mental Activities and Requirements of This Position- Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply logical or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw conclusions.
- Able to interpret a variety of technical instructions and can deal with multiple variables.
- Mathematics Ability: Ability to compute discount, interest, profit, and loss; commission markup and selling price; ratio, proportion, and percentage; perform simple algebra.
- Language Ability: Ability to read periodicals, journals, manuals, dictionaries, thesauruses, and encyclopedias; prepare business letters, proposals, summaries, and reports with prescribed format and proper punctuation, grammar, diction, and style; conduct training, communicate at panel discussions, and make professional presentations.
