Concertmaster

The Abilene Philharmonic is looking for a Concertmaster to join their orchestra for the  season. Finalists will be contracted for one concert cycle in the  season. The audition will take place on October 23, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Abilene Convention Center in Abilene, Texas.

Candidates must submit an online application and résumé by the Final date to receive applications of October 16, 2026. A refundable $25 check deposit is required, and all deposits will be refunded unless the candidate fails to cancel at least a week prior to the audition date. The audition process includes two rounds, with the first round being screened and the second round allowing the committee to view the candidates.

Candidates are advised to arrive at least 15 minutes early for check-in and will be provided with a private practice space shortly before their audition. The order of auditions will be randomly determined, and candidates who do not check in may forfeit their time and deposit.
