Pharmacist, Healthcare

The Pharmacist plays a critical role in ensuring safe, effective, and evidence-based medication use. This position is responsible for dispensing medications, providing drug information, supporting clinical decision-making, and serving as a key resource for both patients and healthcare staff. Pharmacists may work in outpatient, inpatient, retail, or specialty care settings.

• Dispense prescription medications accurately according to provider orders and regulatory standards.
• Review drug therapy regimens for contraindications, drug–drug and drug–food interactions, allergies, and dose appropriateness.
• Provide clinical consultation and timely medication information to providers, nurses, and patients.
• Document all clinical interventions and medication-related activities in accordance with facility protocols.
• Educate patients about medication use, safety, and adherence strategies.
• Maintain and support the formulary
  , therapeutic interchange guidelines, and relevant medication policies.
• Participate in wellness screenings
  , immunizations, and disease‑state management services as applicable.
• Train, supervise, or precept pharmacy technicians, students, or residents when required.
• Contribute to quality assurance and improvement efforts

• Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm
  
  D) degree from an ACPE‑accredited pharmacy program.
• Active and unrestricted state pharmacist license (or eligibility to obtain state licensure).
• Strong knowledge of pharmacology, therapeutics, medication safety, and clinical decision support.
• Excellent communication and patient‑education skills.
