Roles & Responsibilities   Develop individualized treatment plans to improve swallowing, cognitive-communication and speech abilities
Lead and guide delivery of speech-language pathology and audiology services across the facility
Provide evidence-based swallowing therapy to reduce aspiration risk and improve safety
Deliver cognitive-communication therapy to help residents reconnect and engage
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate resident-centered care
Document assessments, progress notes and treatment plans in accordance with facility and regulatory standards
Educate residents, families and staff on communication strategies and therapy goals
Ensure regulatory compliance with local, state and federal guidelines in all SLP practices
Qualifications   Minimum 2 years of SLP experience (required at time of submission)
Active Texas SLP license or eligibility via compact (required)
Proven ability to develop and implement treatment plans for swallowing and communication disorders
Strong clinical documentation and communication skills
Comfortable leading and directing SLP/audiology services in a facility setting
Knowledge & Skills   Skilled in swallowing therapy and aspiration risk reduction

Experience with cognitive-communication assessments and therapy
Treatment planning and progress measurement expertise
Working knowledge of audiology services in a long-term care setting
Familiarity with regulatory compliance and facility policies
Ability to collaborate effectively with nursing and rehab teams
