Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and dependable Procedural Technician Trainee to join our vascular access team in Abilene. This position is ideal for individuals interested in healthcare and procedural medicine who are eager to learn and grow in a hands‑on clinical environment. No certification is required—we provide comprehensive training for the right candidate.
Our practice specializes in minimally invasive procedures for dialysis patients, including fistulograms, angioplasty, thrombectomy, and other vascular access interventions. The Procedural Technician Trainee will work directly with physicians and clinical staff to support patient care and procedural operations.
Responsibilities- Prepare, clean, and maintain procedure rooms before and after patient procedures.
- Assist physicians during vascular access procedures involving AV fistulas and AV grafts.
- Set up and organize instruments, supplies, and procedural equipment.
- Maintain sterile technique and adhere to infection prevention protocols.
- Assist with patient preparation and positioning.
- Support patient flow through pre‑procedure, procedure, and recovery areas.
- Stock and maintain procedural supplies and inventory.
- Learn vascular anatomy, dialysis access management, and procedural workflows.
- Ensure procedure rooms remain organized, safe, and compliant with clinical standards.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Participate in ongoing education and hands‑on clinical training.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.
- Professional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and professionalism.
