Job Title: Chief Operating Officer (COO)
Employment Type: Full-Time
Job DescriptionThe Chief Operating Officer (COO) is responsible for day‑to‑day operational management of Ballinger Memorial Hospital, a designated Critical Access Hospital. The COO provides strategic leadership, ensures compliance with CAH regulatory requirements, optimizes rural health delivery systems, and collaborates closely with the CEO/Administrator and executive team to support high‑quality healthcare services.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee day‑to‑day operational management of the hospital
- Provide strategic leadership for hospital operations
- Ensure compliance with Critical Access Hospital regulatory requirements
- Optimize rural health delivery systems
- Collaborate closely with the CEO/Administrator and executive team members
- Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related field (required)
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership in hospital operations
- At least 5 years of experience in a rural or Critical Access Hospital setting
- FACHE or similar professional certification strongly preferred
