Phlebotomist

Labcorp is a leading global life sciences company providing diagnostics and drug development solutions. It is looking for a Phlebotomist in Abilene, TX (79606) to work Monday–Friday 7:30am–4:30pm with additional hours as needed.

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• 1 or more year(s) of phlebotomy experience in a clinical/hospital environment.
• 1 or more year(s) of experience assisting all patient groups (pediatric–geriatric).
• Current or prior Lab Corp experience.

• In lieu of work experience, a phlebotomy certification or completed training program from an accredited agency is required.
• Must be able to pass a standardized color blindness test.
• Flexibility to work overtime and in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
• Exceptional customer service and strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently or in a team with minimal supervision.

• Employees scheduled to work 20+ hours/week:

• Employees scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees: 401(k) Plan only.
