Position Summary

The Physical Therapist (PT) is responsible for evaluating, developing, and implementing individualized treatment plans to help patients restore function, improve mobility, reduce pain, prevent injury, and enhance their overall quality of life. At FYZICAL Therapy & Balance Center, the Physical Therapist provides evidence-based, patient-centered care while promoting wellness, balance, fall prevention, and functional independence.

Job Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and establish individualized treatment plans.

Develop measurable short-term and long-term goals based on patient needs.

Provide skilled therapeutic interventions, including:

  • Therapeutic exercise
  • Neuromuscular re-education
  • Gait training
  • Balance and fall prevention training
  • Manual therapy techniques
  • Functional mobility training
  • Vestibular rehabilitation
  • Orthopedic rehabilitation
  • Dry needling (if certified)

Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.

Educate patients and caregivers on diagnosis, home exercise programs, injury prevention, and wellness strategies.

Complete timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Maintain compliance with Medicare, commercial insurance, HIPAA, and all applicable federal and state regulations.

Communicate effectively with physicians, case managers, and other healthcare providers regarding patient progress.

Participate in interdisciplinary collaboration to ensure continuity of care.

Maintain productivity standards established by the clinic.

Assist with community outreach, marketing events, workshops, and educational programs as requested.

Maintain a clean, organized, and safe treatment environment.

Participate in staff meetings, continuing education, and quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited physical therapy program.

Current Texas Physical Therapy license in good standing.

Strong clinical reasoning and evidence-based practice skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Strong organizational and documentation skills.
