CCC-SLP Speech-Language Pathologist — Campus or Evaluation Role

TCEC is seeking either a Campus Speech Language Pathologist or an Evaluation Speech Language Pathologist. The Final assignment will be determined based on the experience and strengths of the selected candidate.

Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree in Communication Disorder
• Certificationof Clinical Competence in Speech & Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)/CFY
• Full or Part time options

• Executive Director of Taylor-Callahan Education Cooperative (TCEC)

The position may be filled in one of two ways based on the qualifications, experience, and interests of the selected candidate

• All caseloadsare between
  45 to 60 students.
• Therapists do not complete initial evaluations evaluations.
• The therapist is only responsible for testing students on your caseload that are determined to need a re-evaluation.
• Campus SLP's are responsible for developing and maintaining PLAAFP's, annual IEP goals, progress reports and REED documentation for students on their assigned caseload.
  
  ARD Scheduling and facilitation are manageed by the ARD manager, although SLP's participate as required members of the ARD Committee.

OR

• Conduct comprehensive initial speech-language evaluations.
• Present evaluation results during the Initial ARD meeting.
• Does not provide direct therapy services.
• Does notdevelop IEP PLAAFPs, annual goals or progress reports.

TCEC will determine the assignment based on the canidates qualifications and experience.

• Demonstrates knowledge of formal and informal assessment procedures

• Conducts ongoing assessment of instructional/therapeutic goals and objectives
• Demonstrates awareness, understanding and knowledge of the variety of physical, emotional and cognitive conditions which may contribute to communication disorders

• Demonstrates an understanding of the content area
• Defines and/or revises specific and sequential goals and objectives appropriate for student based assessment
• Develops long range plan per instructional/therapeutic sequence
• Demonstrates daily preparation to achieve IEP goals and objectives
• Selects, prepares and/or adapts materials to meet individual student needs
• Organizes time, space, materials, equipment for instruction/therapy
• Plans for a substitute and has materials available (when appropriate)
• Employs a variety of techniques, methods and materials appropriate for student needs
• Demonstrates effective individual and group behavior management techniques

• Communicates in an effective, constructive and positive manner with students and parents
• Interacts positively and effectively with school personnel, including supervisors, administrators, teachers, auxiliary staff, building secretaries, etc. as an effective team member
• Promotes positive public relations

• Facilitates, coordinates and/or schedules for teacher, aide, student, and district personnel
• Manages and coordinates required meetings/conferences
• Manages and coordinates required paperwork
• Trains, supervises and evaluates paraprofessionals (when applicable)
• Completes, monitors and/or forwards pupil data as required
• Participates as a member of district or departmental team in improving service delivery

• Demonstrates knowledge of special education legislation and acts in accordance with these mandates
• Demonstrates knowledge in field including current issues and trends
