Main duties and responsibilities:
- Assess patients' physical conditions and medical history to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Conduct thorough evaluations to diagnose physical impairments, movement restrictions, and functional limitations.
- Create and implement evidence-based therapeutic exercises and interventions to improve patients' mobility, strength, and flexibility.
- Provide hands-on manual therapy techniques such as joint mobilization and soft tissue mobilization.
- Educate patients on their conditions, treatment options, and self-management techniques.
- Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to optimize patient care.
- Utilize various modalities such as ultrasound, electrical stimulation, and hot/cold packs as part of treatment plans.
- Administer therapeutic exercises and activities to improve balance and coordination.
- Help patients manage pain and discomfort through a variety of methods, including pain-relief modalities and ergonomic education.
- Assist patients in using assistive devices such as crutches, walkers, and wheelchairs.
- Document patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Stay current with advancements in physical therapy techniques and attend continuing education courses.
- Maintain a clean and organized therapy environment, ensuring equipment is in good working order.
- Adhere to ethical and professional standards, including patient confidentiality and informed consent.
