Rural Health Clinical Dietitian
The Rural Health Clinical Dietitian provides medical nutrition therapy and educational support to patients across all age groups within an acute care setting. Collaborating as part of an interdisciplinary healthcare team, they aim to promote optimal nutritional health and wellness.
Responsibilities:
- Assess patients’ nutritional needs and develop individualized care plans.
- Deliver medical nutrition therapy tailored to each patient's condition.
- Educate patients and families on proper nutrition and healthy lifestyle choices.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate nutritional interventions.
- Maintain accurate documentation of treatment plans and progress.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and facility policies.
Qualifications:
- Hold a Bachelor's Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics.
- Obtain Registered Dietitian Credential from the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
- Successfully complete an accredited dietetics internship program.
- Possess or be eligible for current dietitian licensure in Kansas.
- Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Show commitment to continuous professional development and patient care.
