We are seeking a Human Resource Generalist to lead and optimize onboarding and recruitment operations for our Abilene, TX Securitas office. This role manages the full candidate-to-employee lifecycle, ensuring seamless, compliant, and efficient onboarding experience through coordination of orientations, background screenings, pre-employment processing, audit-ready recordkeeping, regulatory compliance, and uniform distribution to support immediate workforce readiness. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, demonstrates strong knowledge onboarding best practices, and brings exceptional organization, attention to detail, and communication skills to drive workforce scalability and deliver a consistent, engaging new hire experience.
Compensation& Benefits
Depending on experience, Securitas will offer an hourly rate of $22.00-$24.00 per hour, depending on experience. You’ll also receive a great benefit package that includes:

Training and onboarding will take place at our Securitas office at 669 Airport Fwy, Hurst, TX 76053, until the Abilene office is fully operational.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and execute end-to-end onboarding processes, ensuring a seamless, compliant, and timely candidate-to-employee transition in a small, growing office environment.
- Facilitate new hire orientations, confirming completion of all pre-employment requirements, including background screenings, documentation, and licensing.
- Process and audit I-9s, background checks, state licensing, and other regulatory requirements to maintain strict compliance with federal, state, and company standards.
- Manage investigations, employee relations matters, and workers’ compensation cases with professionalism and confidentiality.
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready employee personnel files and HRIS records, even as office volume and headcount increase.
- Coordinate uniform issuance, tracking, and inventory management to ensure operational readiness for new hires.
- Provide front-line HR support to new and existing employees, handling onboarding questions, documentation follow-up, and policy clarification.
- Prioritize and manage competing deadlines in a small hiring office while maintaining strong attention to detail and responsiveness.
- Support a small office environment that is expected to grow within six months by helping build scalable HR processes and workflows.
- Foster a positive, team-oriented culture in a growing office, adapting quickly to changing needs and increasing employee volume.
- Demonstrated experience supporting onboarding, talent acquisition, or HR operations environments.
- Strong knowledge of I-9 processing, background screening protocols, and HR documentation standards.
- Exceptional organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage large onboarding classes and multiple start dates simultaneously.
- Familiarity with the fingerprinting process is a plus
- High attention to detail with a compliance-driven and process-oriented mindset.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to engage effectively across all organizational levels.
- Proven ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain strict confidentiality.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, onboarding platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite (Oracle, Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Analytical and solutions-focused approach to improving onboarding workflows and operational efficiency.
