Job Description

The Oracle Employee Relations team is looking for a Employee Relations Consultant to join our on-site data center HR support team in Abilene, Texas. The Oracle ER team is a results-oriented team that works with employees and leaders to help make Oracle a great place to work. We are a team of skilled human resource professionals who enjoy working in a collaborative environment within a fast-paced, dynamic, and innovative technology organization.

The Employee Relations Consultant is an experienced, on-site employee relations professional who partners with data center employees and leaders to resolve workplace matters fairly, consistently, and promptly. This role manages a broad portfolio of employee relations work in a fast-paced operational setting and is a trusted resource for manager coaching, performance management, investigations, policy interpretation, and case resolution. The consultant works closely with Human Resources, Employment Practices, Legal, HR Operations/Payroll, Benefits/Leave, Security, and other Centers of Excellence to balance employee experience, operational continuity, and risk management.

Work Environment Requirements

This role supports a 24/7 operation and requires consistent on-site presence at the Abilene, Texas facility, including interaction with day and night shift teams. The role is subject to controlled-access protocols, which may include biometric identity verification for secure site entry.

Responsibilities

Manage a diverse employee relations caseload from intake through resolution, including performance concerns, attendance and conduct issues, workplace behavior, policy questions, corrective action, and employee complaints.

Provide practical, policy-aligned consultation and coaching to frontline and mid-level leaders; help managers prepare for conversations, document facts, set expectations, and take timely, appropriate action.

Independently conduct fact-finding and investigations into medium-to-complex employee relations matters; assess information objectively, document findings, and recommend next steps in partnership with senior ER and Legal as appropriate.

Maintain an accessible on-floor presence across campus areas and work schedules; build credibility with employees and leaders while promptly identifying concerns requiring specialized review or escalation.

Recognize and elevate elevated-risk matters, including discrimination, harassment, retaliation, threats, workplace violence, serious safety or security concerns, and matters with significant legal or reputational exposure.

Partner cross-functionally to ensure timely, confidential, and consistent resolution of cases; maintain accurate case records and follow internal protocols and applicable employment requirements.

Analyze recurring themes in casework and operational feedback; share actionable observations that strengthen manager capability, employee experience, policy education, and process consistency.

Support ER reporting, training, communications, playbook development, and continuous-improvement projects for the data center workforce.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of progressive Human Resources or employee relations experience, with substantial experience in performance management, employee relations consultation, investigations, and policy application; equivalent related experience will be considered.

Demonstrated ability to manage sensitive employee relations matters independently and to know when to elevate complex or high-risk concerns.

Working knowledge of U.S. employment laws and practices, including the ability to apply internal policy consistently and thoughtfully.

Experience supporting operations-focused, shift-based, hourly, technical, manufacturing, logistics, facilities, or data center work forces is strongly preferred.

Strong written communication, case documentation, organization, and stakeholder-management skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and HR or case-management systems; ability to use data and reporting to identify trends and inform action.

Ability and willingness to work on-site and meet controlled-access requirements for a secure data center environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Psychology, or a related field; PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or comparable certification is a plus.

Experience in a large, complex, or global organization and in a highly regulated, security-conscious, or high-growth operational environment.

Experience developing manager-facing tools, training, or process improvements that strengthen employee relations capability.
