This is a full-time, office-based position in Abilene, TX, perfect for someone who knows the area and understands the unique challenges of rural and regional nurse staffing.
Healthcare Recruiter Responsibilities:As aHealthcare Recruiter, you'll play a pivotal role in sourcing and placing top-tier clinical professionals.
- Source, screen, and place Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs), and allied health professionals local and regional assignments
- Build and maintain strong pipelines via cold calling, referrals, outreach strategies
- Schedule interviews, conduct initial screenings, and manage candidate follow-up
- Track and manage candidate profiles using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) platforms
- Maintain long-term candidate relationships, especially in travel nurse and PRN markets
- Collaborate closely with internal staff in our Abilene, TX office
Qualifications:
We're seeking a recruiter who's not only skilled, but local to Abilene, TX and ready to be a part of our in-office team. To succeed in this Healthcare Recruiter role, we're looking for someone who brings:
- 2-4 years of nurse staffing experience, ideally in a staffing agency or healthcare system
- Experience in healthcare staffing, preferably working with nurses (RNs, LVNs) or allied health professionals
- Strong knowledge of the allied and nurse staffing healthcare community
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- High confidence with outbound recruitment tactics, including cold calling and lead generation
- Skilled in navigating ATS/CRM software
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and team-oriented
- Must live in or near Abilene, TX, and be willing to work on-site daily
- Bonus if you have connections with nursing schools, regional hospitals, or travel nurse networks
