Data Center Site Portfolio Management

Independently responsible for at least one Data Center and occasionally multiple Data Centers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead performance trend analyses related to capacity, temperature, availability, cleanliness, and other aspects. Identify significant patterns and suggest operational improvements.
  • Proactively monitor facility health (power, cooling, security) and develop and implement major enhancements.
  • Partner across functions and regions to identify, measure, and improve processes in alignment with industry best practices (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma). Lead significant improvement projects and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Lead on‑the‑ground resources to resolve incidents, communicate execution, and oversee escalated complex technical issues.
  • Triage and/or escalates issues, and implement advanced automation, scheduling, and monitoring tools to mitigate potential problems effectively.
  • Document and validate issues, processes, and solutions to keep the data center knowledge base comprehensive and up‑to‑date.
  • Prepare for and, when needed, execute incident or crisis management protocols in alignment with business continuity plans. Perform Root Cause Analysis and update documentation with process improvements.
  • Lead and oversee new region builds and expansion activities, both onsite and remotely. Serve as the primary liaison with project teams and data center engineering to manage timelines and capacity needs.
  • Provide oversight for installations, repairs, inventory management, and logistics tasks. Direct efforts to replace and upgrade components.
  • Advise on high‑level purchases or upgrades for data centers and oversee implementation. Plan and execute rack deployments, installations, and network physical infrastructure upgrades/changes.
  • Ensure proactive maintenance of the Data Center facility with regard to efficiency and stability (e.g., containment, airflow & pressure, power trains).
  • Manage and coordinate moderately complex tasks, monitoring timelines and deliverables to ensure timely completion and adherence to requirements.
  • Collaborate across the organization to align on expectations and achieve shared objectives. Actively seek and listen to diverse perspectives.
  • Identify and address moderately complex issues, analyze data to identify solutions, proactively escalated unresolved or critical issues and suggest potential solutions.
  • Pursue learning opportunities, coach and mentor junior team members, and foster continuous learning and knowledge sharing.
  • Develop ideas, recommend updates, and collaborate on the implementation of process improvements to increase efficiency across teams.
  • Contribute to talent development pipeline by participating in candidate interviews, assessing candidates, and providing hiring recommendations.
Qualifications
  • Certain U.S. customer or client‑facing roles may be required to comply with applicable immunization and occupational health mandates.
  • U.S. Hiring Range: $87,000 – $178,100 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
  • Experience and knowledge in data center operations, performance monitoring, incident response, automation, and expansion projects.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, collaboration, and continuous improvement skills.
  • Proficiency with industry best practices such as Lean or Six Sigma is desirable.
