OVERVIEWBrain Works is currently seeking a Manager, IT Operations for a full-time leadership opportunity with a growing financial services organization. Reporting directly to the Chief Information Officer, this individual will oversee the day-to-day IT operations of the organization while leading a team responsible for infrastructure, end‑user support, technology operations, vendor management, and strategic technology initiatives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESIT Operations & Infrastructure Leadership
- Lead the daily operations of the organization's IT environment, ensuring reliable, secure, and efficient technology services.
- Oversee infrastructure including servers, networking, endpoint management, telecommunications, and end‑user support.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues while driving service excellence across the organization.
- Continuously evaluate operational processes and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, stability, and user experience.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of IT professionals.
- Establish priorities, allocate resources, and foster a collaborative, customer‑focused culture.
- Coach team members while promoting accountability, continuous learning, and professional development.
- Partner closely with the CIO to execute technology initiatives aligned with business objectives.
- Lead technology projects from planning through implementation, coordinating internal stakeholders and third‑party vendors.
- Support future technology modernization efforts while balancing operational priorities.
- Manage relationships with managed service providers (MSPs), technology vendors, and external partners.
- Collaborate with business leaders to understand operational challenges and recommend technology solutions that improve efficiency and service delivery.
- Assist with budgeting, technology planning, and vendor performance management.
- Support cybersecurity initiatives, business continuity planning, disaster recovery efforts, and technology governance.
- Assist with regulatory examinations, audits, policy development, and risk management activities.
- 7+ years of progressive IT experience with demonstrated leadership responsibility.
- Experience leading enterprise IT operations, infrastructure, and technical support teams.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft infrastructure, networking, systems administration, and enterprise technology environments.
- Experience managing vendors, MSP relationships, and third‑party technology partners.
- Proven experience leading cross‑functional technology projects from planning through implementation.
- Understanding of cybersecurity principles, access management, disaster recovery, and operational risk.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship‑building skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical teams and executive leadership.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
- Financial services, banking, credit union, or other highly regulated industry experience.
- Experience supporting regulatory examinations or IT audits.
