SUMMARY/SCOPE:
The Director of Financial Aid oversees all aspects of federal, state, and institutional student aid programs, which includes scholarships, grants, loans, and the work-study program. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance in all aid programs. The Director provides leadership for planning, managing, and evaluating personnel, programs, and budgets while ensuring timely, sensitive, and accurate delivery of financial aid to students in a highly regulated environment.
The Director is also responsible for submitting accurate financial aid reports as required by federal, state, and institutional agencies and supporting customer-oriented services to students and to the campus community.
BASIC RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manage financial aid staff, which includes annual performance reviews, ensuring staff are trained and following policies and procedures; manage the implementation and maintenance of institutional financial aid programs; plans organization goals, objectives, and strategic initiatives; prepares, reviews, and approves a variety of reports on the federal, state, and institutional levels; develop and maintain internal and external relationships, which includes participation in a variety of meetings and committees.
