Job Summary

A senior‑level role responsible for overseeing the operation, maintenance, and optimization of essential systems in a facility or organization. The role includes managing third‑party vendors to complete scheduled preventive maintenance on all critical systems as well as installing or replacing critical assets on the network.

• Manage preventive maintenance and corrective repairs for critical systems such as UPS systems, generators, chillers, electrical distribution, HVAC, and Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Develop and implement specifications, bidding documents, plans, and procedures for mechanical engineering, maintenance operations, and project oversight.
• Prepare budget recommendations, control operating expenditures, and ensure cost‑effectiveness across all phases of property or facility operations.
• Select and supervise third‑party vendors and internal teams to complete preventive maintenance tasking, new equipment installations/replacements, and ensure compliance with safety procedures.
• Administer service subcontracts, evaluate quality and competitive costs, and maintain liaison with internal departments.
• Analyze and appraise operational effectiveness, take corrective action, and track maintenance requests to improve service levels.
• Recommend and implement approved capital projects for mechanical, electrical, and elevator systems.

• Minimum five years in data‑center or tenant services operations.
• Hands‑on experience with data‑center protocols and standards.
• Electrical systems expertise: UPS, generators, electrical distribution.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and facility operations.

• Technical proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and building systems.
• Project and operational management skills.
• Budgeting and cost‑control abilities.
• Problem‑solving and incident management.
• Develop Disaster Recovery Plans in conjunction with CITS Technicians and stakeholders.
• Experience managing multiple facilities.
• Strong prioritization and follow‑through in fast‑moving environments.
• OSHA safety best practices and risk mitigation.
• Proficiency in office software applications, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Experience working with manufacturers, vendors, and cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, overtime, and 24‑hour standby as required.
• Leadership, team development, written and verbal communication skills.
• Clean and valid driver’s license with ability to travel to other work locations as necessary.

The employee is required to use all safety equipment and protocols to maintain a safe environment, ensuring all work‑related tasks are performed in accordance with the company’s and OSHA’s safety rules and regulations. The employee is occasionally required to climb, kneel, crouch, or crawl, may need to lift or move up to 70 pounds, and may be required to work aloft.

Pay range: $87,394.00 – $ per year.
