Visa InformationTTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required. On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.
Position DescriptionSupports the program director by performing administrative duties related to planning, directing and coordinating both the academic and operational activities of the program.
Major/Essential Functions- Work in partnership with the Julia Jones Matthews School of Population and Public Health (JJMSPPH) Office of the Dean in the development of an operational launching plan of a new academic program within an established school at the TTUHSC.
- Work in close collaboration with the TTUHSC Registrar, TTUHSC Office of Enrollment Management, and TTUHSC Office of Student Affairs on developing processes in supporting new incoming as well as ongoing student needs.
- Collaborate with TTUHSC and JJMSPPH staff on enrollment management processes for all applicants, including but not limited to, transition of applicants to enrolled students and later to alumni.
- Coordination of all aspects of enrolled student files, including but not limited to the development and maintaining database information for all undergraduate students, as well as functions of progressions, leave of absence requests, withdrawals, grade change requests, course enrollment, and other duties appropriate to position.
- Assist in the development of marketing materials and outreach strategies to the academic program and increase enrollment.
- Provide ongoing quality review for improvements and work in collaboration with faculty in the development of strategies with recommendations.
- Work in collaboration with faculty and institutional divisions on the development and implementation of a face-to-face orientation to all new incoming students.
- Responsible for enforcement of university and institutional policies as well as internal student policies.
- Coordinate student advising and degree audits. Assist in management of student community projects and practice experiences.
- Partner with recruitment staff on the development and implementation of an annual recruitment plan to include but not limited to high school and community college job fairs, community organization to promote the program and other events as deemed appropriate.
High school plus six years experience in related field. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
Preferred Qualifications- Proven experience in program coordination or project management, preferably in higher education.
- Experienced with general office procedures, higher education student enrollment oversight, and advising prospective students.
- Experienced in organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience working collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
