POSITION SUMMARY
An entry level position. Prepares original shop drawings or maps which involve extensive and complex details. Uses computerized methods of drafting and design.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS- Produces accurate fabrication detail drawings.
- Produces complex and complete fabrication drawings or maps with a high degree of technical accuracy.
- Performs work according to established practices and guidelines.
- Demonstrates initiative and judgment in such matters as selecting, placing and accentuating detail or identifying problems.
- Is required to be familiar with the requirements of associated disciplines.
- Makes decisions and recommendations within established guidelines and procedures.
- Exercises initiative in completing recurring assignments.
Works under direct supervision. Is expected to complete familiar assignments and to solve problems. The work is reviewed in progress and when non-recurring methods are used or when modifications are not covered by specific instructions.
DIRECTION OF OTHERSNo direction of others expected.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Understanding of basic piping components.
- Understanding of fabrication practices.
- A high school graduate or GED.
- Extreme attention to detail.
Working knowledge of applicable software. Including but not limited to Bluebeam, Excel, Outlook, and Word. Working knowledge of schematic drawings.
PHYSICAL DEMANDSNone.
WORKING CONDITIONSOffice environment. May require some coordination in the working shop environment.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTOccasional travel may be required but is minimal.
