Position Details:
- Job Title: Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
- Location: Abilene, Texas
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 9-hour shifts between 7:00 am and 4:00 pm, including a one-hour lunch
- Duration: 13-weeks Maternity Leave Coverage with potential for permanent employment
- Provide comprehensive pediatric primary care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and health promotion for children across various age groups.
- Collaborate with supervising physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with institutional policies and regulations.
- Participate in clinical meetings, patient education, and community health initiatives.
- Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, including current life support certifications and background/security clearance requirements.
- Education: Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited program (ACEN or CCNE).
- Certification: Valid national certification as a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) or Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).
- Experience: Minimum of 24 months of full-time pediatric patient care in a credentialed primary care setting within the last five years, with specific focus on pediatric populations.
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted RN and NP licenses in the state.
- Controlled Substances: Current State Controlled Substance License and eligibility to obtain DEA license.
- Certifications: Current BLS certification from ARC or AHA.
- Additional Requirements: Ability to pass a government background check/security clearance.
