About the Opportunity

We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Nurse Manager to lead our Pediatrics unit. This position sits at the intersection of clinical excellence, people leadership, and family-centered care. If you are a registered nurse with a passion for children's health and the drive to build high-performing teams, this is your opportunity to make a lasting impact in the West Texas community.

In this role, you will shape the day-to-day operations and long-term vision of the pediatric patient care area, serving as the critical link between frontline nursing staff, physician partners, and executive leadership.

What you will do
  • Lead daily operations and long-range planning of the pediatric care unit, ensuring consistently safe, high-quality patient outcomes.
  • Mentor, develop, and inspire nursing staff—cultivating a culture of accountability, growth, and excellence.
  • Champion a patient- and family-centered care environment that honors the unique needs of pediatric patients and their families.
  • Collaborate closely with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to advance care standards and resolve clinical challenges.
  • Demonstrate fiscal responsibility through strategic staffing, resource management, and budget oversight.
  • Compile and analyze unit performance reports, identifying opportunities for quality improvement.
  • Compose clear and professional communications including memos, clinical correspondence, and operational reports.
  • Coordinate interdepartmental meetings and facilitate productive dialogue across care teams.
What you bring
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required — or on track to complete within 12 months.
  • Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, with demonstrated leadership aptitude.
  • Current Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
  • Strong written, analytical, and organizational skills with proven computer proficiency.
  • A collaborative spirit and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.
Required certifications
  • Texas Registered Nurse (RN) License — current and in good standing.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Certification.
