Job SummaryUnder general supervision of directors and in collaboration with all PAT managers, plans, organizes, directs and controls all activities involved in the effective, efficient, and economical utilization of material resources and personnel of the delegated specialty service, ensuring patient service is continuous and high quality. Responsible for orientation, training, and development of specialty service personnel. Responsible for assisting streamline PAT process across all facilities.
Relates effectively with anesthesia and perinesthesia team members for continuity of care; maintains satisfactory relations with other departments and nursing units and participates in all phases of education, maintenance of records, and upgrading policies, procedures and skills of personnel.
- Minimum Education:
Bachelor’s Degree - Minimum
Work Experience:
2 years of Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) nursing experience - Required
Licenses/Certifications:- Registered Nurse
- Certified Ambulatory Perianesthesia Nurse (CAPA) certified within 12 months of hire in this position
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:
- Ability to direct others and negotiate for desired results
- Ability to work well as part of the leadership team
- Demonstrates decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Clinical competency in PAT area
