The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care under the supervision of an RN Case Manager. The role involves following the plan of care, delivering treatments, and collaborating with the team to achieve positive patient outcomes.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Furnishes services in accordance with agency policies
- Prepares clinical and progress notes
- Prepares equipment and materials for treatments following aseptic techniques as required
- Assists the patient, parent, family in learning appropriate self‑care techniques as required
- Provides services within agency service area as scheduled
- Informs the Pediatric RN Supervisor immediately of changes in the patient’s condition
- Counsels the patient, parent in meeting nursing and related needs
- Participates in in‑service programs
- Receives orders from physician or representatives according to policy
- Orients co‑workers
- Completes other duties assigned by the DCS or Director of Pediatric Operations

JOB REQUIREMENTS (Education, Experience, Knowledge, Skills & Abilities)- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Preferred: three years nursing experience
- Preferred:
Pediatric Home Health experience - Currently licensed as a registered nurse in the State of Texas
- Complies with accepted professional standards and practice
- Ability to demonstrate assessment and skills in caring for a pediatric client under the Pediatric RN Supervisor
- Knowledge or experience with gastric button feeding and care; ventilators, tracheostomy and care
- Demonstrated good verbal and written communication, and organization skills
- Possesses and maintains current CPR certification
