Salary Range: $35.00 - $38.00 Hourly

Join us in making a meaningful impact on patients’ lives after their surgical procedures as a Post‑Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurse.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Monitoring:
    Assess and monitor patients' vital signs and overall condition upon arrival in the PACU, identifying any complications or abnormalities.
  • Medication Administration:
    Administer medications as prescribed, including analgesics and antiemetics, while ensuring proper documentation and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Care Coordination:
    Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans while providing timely updates to family members.
  • Patient

    Education:

    Educate patients and their families on post‑operative care, discharge instructions, and signs of potential complications to promote a smooth recovery process.
  • Documentation:
    Accurate and thorough documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes in electronic medical records, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
Qualifications
  • Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, with a preference for experience in PACU.
  • BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS is a plus).
  • Strong critical thinking and problem‑solving skills, coupled with the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and the medical team.
