Plasma Center Nurse- RN

Job Description

This position is eligible for a $1500 sign‑on bonus. Bio Life Plasma Services is a subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company Ltd. The role involves supporting plasma center operations as a Medical Support Specialist (Plasma Center Nurse) under the guidance of the Center Manager and Center Physician.

• Determine donor eligibility to donate plasma, including informed consent, medical history interview, physical examination, blood testing, and reviewing serological protein electrophoresis (SPE).
• Manage donor adverse events, review laboratory test results, and notify donors of unsuitable test results.
• Evaluate donor reactions as outlined in SOPs and follow applicable SOPs for medical emergencies, including standing orders and donor transport to emergency care.
• Refer to the Center Physician or Medical Affairs for unacceptable findings to donors or guidance on medical or technical issues related to donor safety and eligibility.
• Support Hepatitis B and seasonal flu vaccination programs for employees and manage employee incidents, determining whether further evaluation is required by occupational health/ER.
• Act as a Pandemic Coordinator when authorized by EHS and support investigations of pandemic threats within the local community.

• High school diploma or equivalent, or graduate equivalent of a recognized educational nursing program with state requirements.
• Current license or certification in the state of assignment:
  Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Practitioner (NP), or Physician Assistant (PA).
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and AED certification.
• Fulfill state requirements for basic IV therapy.
• Complete FDA‑approved training requirements for Bio Life Medical Support Specialist.
• Two years of experience in a clinical or hospital setting.

Hourly wage range: $31.68 – $43.56 (U.S. – TX – Abilene).
