About the Role
As a Registered Nurse on the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), you will deliver high-quality, individualized nursing care to patients requiring telemetry monitoring and close clinical observation. This is a dynamic and intellectually stimulating role that places you at the intersection of critical thinking, compassionate patient interaction, and advanced cardiac monitoring.
You will serve as a key member of an interdisciplinary care team, collaborating with physicians, specialists, and allied health professionals to drive meaningful patient outcomes. Every shift, you will apply the nursing process — assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation — to a broad spectrum of medical conditions, making clinical acuity and adaptability essential strengths in this role.
Incentives- Sign-on bonus $12,500
- Relocation Assistance: $5,000
- Deliver direct, individualized nursing care to PCU/telemetry patients using evidence-based, scientific nursing principles
- Connect patients to cardiac monitoring equipment and accurately read, interpret, and respond to electrocardiogram (ECG) and heart rate data
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and execute individualized care plans aligned with desired patient outcomes
- Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and their families, serving as a trusted advocate throughout the care continuum
- Maintain full compliance with the Texas Nurse Practice Act and all applicable regulatory, policy, and accreditation standards
- Participate actively in committee work, quality improvement initiatives, and survey readiness activities
- Handle sensitive and confidential patient information with the highest degree of professionalism and discretion
- Maintain a professional presence and demeanor at all times, serving as a standard-bearer for nursing excellence on the unit
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (Diploma or Associate Degree in Nursing)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Texas (or compact eligibility)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- ACLS certification required prior to completion of orientation
- NIH Stroke Scale certification required prior to completion of orientation

- Strong telemetry interpretation and cardiac monitoring skills (or eagerness to develop them)
- Excellent interpersonal communication with patients, families, and care team members
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound professional judgment
- Hourly Rate: $30.51 – $55.03 (commensurate with experience)
