Registered Nurse – Operating Room

Perioperative Nurse

Provide specialized perioperative nursing care in the operating room setting. Ensure patient safety, support surgical procedures, and adhere to protocols to promote optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare the operating room by ensuring all necessary sterile instruments and equipment are ready.
• Assist surgeons and surgical teams with patient positioning and surgical setup.
• Monitor patients’ vital signs and anesthesia levels throughout the procedure.
• Maintain strict aseptic techniques and infection control standards.
• Document patient care activities and surgical details accurately.
• Respond promptly to any intraoperative emergencies or complications.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active RN license in good standing.
• Possess at least 2 years of clinical experience in surgical services.
• Demonstrate proficiency in neuro/spine, ortho/trauma, and general/robotics surgery.
• Have craniotomy and burr hole experience.
• Be capable of working flexible shifts, including call and late days.
• Complete mandatory drug screening and comply with travel and local radius requirements.
