Planner, Outdoor​/Nature​/Animal Care, Environmental Science

Edko is currently seeking energetic entry-level and experienced professionals who enjoy working outdoors. Our field positions are ideal for entry-level professionals with an educational background in forestry, horticulture, arboriculture, environmental science or a related discipline and seasoned professionals with experience in these fields and line of work. Utility Planners perform identification, inspection, and evaluation of trees and brush along utility lines;

submit inspection results to clients with recommendations; plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of assigned tree clearance crews; discuss and negotiate line-clearance crew access issues; and serve as a liaison between clients, tree crews, and client customers.

• Ability to work without supervision with self-accountability and good time management.
• Self starter who plans ahead, problem solves, and keeps crews working.
• Flexible schedule; storm hours could require longer days and weekends.
• Ability to drive and be covered by the company’s insurance carrier guidelines.
