Vanguard Maintenance & Electrical is an on‑union electrical subcontractor performing large‑scale commercial and datacenter work. We take pride in executing quality work and we are seeking a detail‑oriented QA/QC Coordinator to lead field quality inspections and ensure all work meets project specifications and code requirements.
Position SummaryThe QA/QC Coordinator supports the successful execution of quality assurance and quality control processes by coordinating inspections, maintaining project documentation, tracking compliance requirements, and ensuring records are complete and accurate. This role works closely with field teams and QA/QC leadership to ensure quality is built into every phase of construction.
Key Responsibilities- Plan/Execute daily field inspections of electrical installations (conduit, cabletray, terminations, equipment, etc.)
- Verify work complies with drawings, specifications, NEC code, and project standards
- Identify/Rectify deficiencies and non‑conforming work
- Orchestrate punchlist creation, tracking, and closeout
- Complete and maintain inspection reports, checklists, and QA/QC documentation
- Lead small teams in coordination with foremen and superintendent to solve issues in a timely manner
- Direct pre‑functional inspections and testing readiness
- Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and installation standards are followed
- Spearhead quality walks and site audits
- Support manager in final turnover documentation and project closeout
- 1–3+ years of leadership experience in electrical construction or QA/QC inspection
- Proficient knowledge of electrical systems and NEC requirements
- Ability to instruct subordinates on interpreting construction drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication and ability to work with field teams
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Leadership experience in datacenter quality operations
- OSHA 30 certification
- Efficiency with QA/QC processes, tracking, and reporting systems
- Commissioning/Turnover Process Inspection Leadership
