Quality Assurance - QA/QC
Regulatory Compliance Specialist, QA Specialist - Analyst/Manager
A leading mechanical contractor is hiring a QA/QC Manager for a major hyperscale data centre programme in Abilene, Texas.
This is a long-term posting. Closeout runs into 2029, with further phases expected to extend the programme beyond that. If you're looking for a site you can settle into rather than another short assignment, this is one of the more secure roles on the market right now.
The roleYou'll be the permanent quality lead on site, reporting to the Director of Quality and running the team handling commissioning checks. There's a support team around you on documentation — but you're the one trusted to run the quality function day to day.
It's a management-side role in a documentation-heavy environment. Hyperscale work carries more paperwork than almost anything else in mechanical construction, and this position sits at the centre of it.
Responsibilities- Own the quality function on site and sign off documentation issued to the client
- Manage commissioning documentation through Cx Alloy
- Handle CFCI and OFCI equipment packages against the project quality plan
- Review and sign off weld documentation
- Represent the business in client-facing quality meetings
- Proven QA/QC management experience in mechanical construction
- Data centre or mission-critical background, ideally hyperscale - a plus
- CxAlloy exposure — you don't need to be an expert, and there's training available, but prior familiarity helps
- Confident signing off documentation that goes to the customer
Strong on the management and documentation side rather than purely field-based - Professional and client-ready — this is a visible, meeting-heavy position
