This position is open for up to 3 students and will help with the three sections of Chemistry 1410. The lab sections are as follows:
- CHEM 1410 General Chemistry I on Monday afternoon (2:30-5:30pm) with Dr. Pyenta
- CHEM 1410 General Chemistry I on Wednesday afternoon (2:30-5:30pm) with Dr. Veltkamp
- CHEM 1410 General Chemistry I on Thursday afternoon (2:30-5:30pm) with Dr. Pyenta
The student worker will be helping students with techniques and answering questions. They will be fetching items from the stockroom and cleaning up spills and broken glass as needed. Checking and providing feedback on notebooks is also typical. In general, lab assistants are there to provide another set of eyes and hands to make the lab run a little bit more smoothly.
The job also require a couple of additional hours grading (any time during the week) and/or supervising makeup experiments (Friday afternoons).
