Food Service Worker; Part Time

Position Summary

FOOD SERVICE WORKER – Part‑time position located at 1600 Campus Court, Abilene, TX 79601. Open availability is required, and the schedule may vary from day to day. Prior food service experience is preferred, but the company will train suitable candidates. Pay ranges from $14.00 to $16.00 per hour.

• Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stoves, and refrigerators in accordance with safety standards.
• Store food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
• Use approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to the supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Because the position requires service in an educational facility, there may be periods during school breaks where work is not required, potentially resulting in unpaid periods. These periods may be considered temporary layoffs. Work may be required year‑round in other locations depending on business needs.
