Compensation

$12.50 to $15.50 per hour. Retail sales associates can earn up to 8% commission on transactions, which could average an additional $1.00 per hour on top of the hourly rate.

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and interacts with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. They work with a variety of merchandise, including jewelry, tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

• Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
• Maintains a clean, organized sales floor and displays merchandise.
• Conducts sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established procedures.
• Answers incoming calls per company standards.
• Communicates legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect.
• Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Successfully completes assigned training.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to perform duties for extended periods of time (e.g., standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pulling).
• Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
• May be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products from external storage.
• Minimum age: 18 years old.
• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to serve customers and be team‑oriented.
• Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficiency in basic math calculations.
• Cash handling experience is preferred.
• Ability to work in multiple locations as needs dictate.
• Flexible retail schedule: willing to work weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate; comfortable operating POS systems and common office machines.

The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2‑8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Further details are provided during the interview process.
