Part‑Time Retail Sales Associate
$12.50 to $15.50 per hour. We offer a commission structure that pays for every transaction processed. Our retail sales associates can earn up to 8% on transactions, averaging an additional $1.37 per hour on top of the hourly rate.

We are seeking entry‑level, part‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. A Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The associate greets, engages, and assists customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions. The role involves a wide variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, and firearms (in FFL locations).
Responsibilities- Greets and interacts with all customers to develop rapport and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
- Keeps the sales floor clean, stocked, and displays merchandise.
- Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Effectively communicates the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Successfully completes the assigned training.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties and tasks for extended periods of time, including standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting.
- Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
- Employees may be asked to assist a customer on the exterior of the building or to retrieve products stored in exterior storage buildings or other areas.
- Minimum age: 18 years old.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team‑oriented.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations proficiently.
- Cash handling experience is preferred.
- Should be able to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Must have the ability to work a flexible retail schedule based on business needs, including weekends and holidays.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and common office machines.
Commission Plan Information
The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2‑8% commission based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Applicants receive more details during the interview process.
