The Sales Supervisor role at Harbor Freight Tools is a full-time, on-site position based in Abilene, TX. This role is responsible for leading and coaching sales associates, driving daily sales performance, and ensuring excellent customer service on the sales floor. The Sales Supervisor oversees merchandising, stock levels, and product presentation, and supports the execution of promotions and pricing strategies. Day-to-day tasks include monitoring key store metrics, assisting with scheduling and task delegation, resolving customer concerns, and maintaining a safe, clean, and organized store environment.
The Sales Supervisor also collaborates with store leadership to support training, adherence to company policies, and continuous improvement in sales processes.
- Demonstrated skills in retail sales, customer service, and upselling to support store revenue and customer satisfaction.
- Experience in team leadership, coaching, and performance feedback in a fast-paced retail or service environment.
- Proficiency in basic store operations, including cash handling, merchandising, inventory support, and loss prevention awareness.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across all store roles.
- Ability to stand for extended periods, move merchandise, and safely use standard retail equipment as needed.
- Prior supervisory or lead experience in retail or a related field preferred; experience in tools, hardware, or automotive products is a plus.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in business, management, or retail operations is beneficial.
- Availability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on store needs.
