Retail Sales Associate

Position Summary

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in pawn store locations nationwide. The Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff to ensure excellent customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. The role involves greeting, engaging, and interacting with customers to process sales, loans, and other transactions while assisting with customer inquiries and problem resolution.

The associate will work with a wide variety of merchandise, including jewelry, electronics, tools, firearms (in FFL locations), and more.

Hourly wage ranges from $12.50 to $15.50 per hour, and employees earn commission based on productivity. The exact pay is based on location, qualifications, and experience.

• Greet and interact with all customers to establish rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
• Perform open and close procedures.
• Maintain a clean, stocked sales floor and display merchandise.
• Process sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies and regulatory requirements.
• Handle all cash and negotiable items per company policies.
• Answer incoming calls to company standards.
• Communicate legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions to customers.
• Communicate effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect.
• Partner with staff to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
• Complete assigned training.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

• Willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
• And able to perform duties for extended periods of time (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, lifting).
• Experience with firearms and willingness to obtain firearms certification.
• Ability to assist customers outside the building and retrieve products from exterior storage.
• Minimum age 18.
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
• Strong desire to work, serve customers, work with people, and be team oriented.
• Ability to multitask in a fast‑paced environment.
• Proficient basic math skills.
• Cash handling experience preferred.
• Flexible retail schedule, including weekends and holidays.
• Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and office machines.

The commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers can earn 2–8% commission based on the gross profit of personal performance. Detailed information will be provided during the interview process.
