Apply your expertise to advance the mission and optimize our business strategy as a Site Security Manager (SSM) 2  an SSM you are responsible for the security aspects of project planning, design, construction, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements for facility accreditation. You will collaborate with planners, project managers, design managers, designers, and construction managers to determine requirements and implement policy-based security measures.

• Develop and implement Concept Validation Request (CVR), Construction Security Plan (CSP), Pre‑Con/Fixed Facility Checklist (FFC), construction oversight SOPs, and TEMPEST documentation.
• Conduct periodic security inspections throughout projects to ensure CSP compliance and AO requirements.
• Document security violations or deviations, notify the AO within required time frames.
• Work with construction firms to ensure site, material, equipment, and access security.
• Collaborate with AO to mitigate construction and physical threats.
• Ensure adherence to NISPOM, Supplement, DoD Overprint, DCID, ICD, applicable UFCs, and SAP policies.
• Oversee day‑to‑day SSM security staff, assessing procedures to identify shortfalls and recommend improvements.
• Notify technical and management staff of pertinent security matters.
• Ensure projects meet ICD 705 Tech Spec, UFC 4‑010‑05, and customer requirements.
• Attend all project planning, design, and contractor meetings to provide security input.
• Manage photo documentation for the construction life cycle in accordance with regulations.
• Evaluate SCIF & Special Access Program Facility spaces for threats, vulnerabilities, and assets to determine effective countermeasures.
• Brief personnel at all levels on security topics.
• Prepare professional briefings, technical writing, and correspondence.
• Implement policy requirements and advise AO on compliance and variances.
• Lead, mentor, and provide administrative oversight to team members.
• Deliver Intrusion Detection Reports, STC Reports, and RF Testing Reports to the accrediting official.
• Develop accreditation documentation including FFC, TEMPEST Checklist, Compartmented Area Checklist, Co‑Utilization Agreements, Accreditation Memorandums, Controlled Area Designation Letter, Common Operating Authorization Letters, SOPs, and Emergency Action Plans.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree desired and counts toward 4 years of experience.
• Associate’s degree counts toward 2 years of experience.

Experience

• 3+ years related experience.
• Experience with physical security, personnel management, and/or construction management.
• Ability to operate under minimal supervision.

Education and Experience Equivalents

• 1 year of experience for each SPeD certification (maximum 3 years of equivalent experience).
• Certifications/credentials examples:

  • Security Asset Protection Professional Certification (SAPPC)
  • Special Program Security Credential (SPSC)
  • Security Program Integration Professional Certification (SPIPC)
  • Physical Security Certification (PSC)
  • Industrial Security Oversight Credential (ISOC)
  • Antiterrorism Credential (ATC)

Security Clearance

• TS/SCI.
• Must be willing to obtain CI polygraph.

Other Requirements

• Complete safety training and/or certification (OSHA 30 Construction Safety, OSHA Fall Protection and OSHA Confined Space) within the first 90 days.
• Obtain CDSE STEPP ICD 705 Physical Security Construction Requirements for SAP within first 30 days.
• Pass a Site Security Manager Certification course within first 12 months.
• Lift up to 40 lbs to examine product deliveries.
• Walk long distances and navigate stairs.

Desired (Not Required)

• Industry accepted Site Security Manager certification.
• Former Construction Surveillance Technician.
• Industry accepted Commercial Blueprint Reading certification.

The likely salary range for this position is $95,285 – $128,915. Compensation will be set based on experience, geographic location, and contractual requirements and may fall outside this range.
