Heating Air Conditioning Technician

Overview

The Critical Systems Technician I, HVAC works under the direct supervision of a senior technician and is required to assist in the operations, maintenance, and monitoring of the data center and supporting infrastructure.

• Perform work in a thorough and neat manner in accordance with industry standards, codes, and laws.
• Assist with and gain experience from preventative maintenance, trouble diagnosis, routine and emergency maintenance and repairs with direct supervision to equipment including but not limited to:
• Air and water-cooled reciprocating chillers
• Centrifugal and screw package chillers
• Natural gas boilers and unit heaters
• Electric duct heaters
• Cooling Towers
• Pneumatic, DDC and Variable Frequency Drive controls
• HVAC air distribution systems, AHU’S, FCU’S, Fans and other devices used in air distribution
• Various types of water pumps used in the HVAC industry
• Responsible for maintaining their assigned equipment in a clean, first class, efficient operating condition
• Strive for continual improvement of technical skills through experience and trade literature
• Exhibit a desire to learn and excel in the HVAC industry
• Required to perform after-hours assignments
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
• Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function

• Must be a US citizen
• High School Diploma/GED required
• Knowledge of refrigeration principles
• Working knowledge of basic electricity for HVAC and HVAC diagnostic tools and instruments
• Minimum of 1 year of HVAC service experience required, 2 years preferred
• Valid Driver's License

• Proficient in Microsoft Office or related software.

• EPA refrigerant recovery certification type I and II required, type III preferred
• US citizen and able to obtain security clearance is preferred
