Heavy Equipment Mechanic
Position Summary
TIC is looking for a Heavy Equipment Diesel Master Mechanic for a project located in Abilene, TX.
Requirements- 5+ years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic preferred
- Caterpillar, Liebherr, Xtreme, Takeuchi
- Diagnostic systems: CAT ET, Cummins INSITE, Diesel Laptop
Wage to be determined depending on experience. $130 per diem per day worked if applicable.
Current schedule is 7:00am – 5:30pm, Monday – Friday. Must be willing to work additional overtime, weekends and nights when required. All offers are contingent on your ability to pass a Drug and Alcohol and non‑DOT physical test.
Work Environment- Constantly move around a construction/industrial site; able to stand, walk, sit, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, and/or crawl.
- Exposed to changing outdoor weather conditions.
- Work irregular hours, weekends, overtime and holidays as required.
- Must be able to use ladders, mechanical platforms, manlifts, scaffold to access equipment (may exceed 200 feet) and maintain balance.
- Move and work in confined and cluttered places, uneven surfaces.
- Complete tasks in a noisy and dusty environment.
- May be required to move items weighing up to 50 pounds across site.
- Must have required tools.
- Observe and comply with all safety and project rules; perform other duties as required.
- Ability to pass pre‑access drug and alcohol testing and non‑DOT physical.
